Gifts with Lifelong Impact and Multi-Year Pledges

In addition to our annual giving funds, the Ford School strives to build a source of permanent endowment funds to support its top priorities of providing student support and enabling faculty research. Donors can create a named endowment fund with a minimum gift of $25,000 (payable over 3-5 years with a signed gift agreement). These funds are invested in the University of Michigan's endowment. Permanent endowment funds are a great way to build your personal or family legacy while creating a stable base of support for the school.

Another way to create a permanent fund at the Ford School is through estate and planned gifts. The University has created this online resource to help you explore these opportunities.

These types of gifts take a bit of coordination and our team can provide guidance as you determine the best way to create your Michigan legacy. Please contact Dan Ginis (dginis@umich.edu; 734-615-4001) or Sonia Gill (soniagil@umich.edu; 734-615-7047) to discuss how these giving vehicles can help you achieve your philanthropic and personal financial planning goals.

New Initiatives

2014 is a significant year to be a student at the Ford School. It is an experience built on a century of work by policy researchers, advocates, and educators. It also marks a decade of dedication by students to honor their time at the Ford School by contributing to the forward progress of the school through philanthropy. Learn more about this year's Class Gift.

The Ford School is creating two new permanent endowment funds to help commemorate the Ford School's Centennial; 100 years of public policy at UM. These funds give alumni and friends the chance to contribute endowed student financial aid and shape the next century of the school.
