Matthew Davis quoted in UPI article, "Parents to doctors: Send e-mail"

Tuesday, May 18, 2010

Matthew Davis was quoted in a UPI article about parents' willingness to communicate with their child's doctor through e-communications.

The results of a National Poll on Children's Health, published by C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, shows that half of the parents polled would be open to e-communications, but only 15 percent are currently able to have online or email communications with health care providers. Davis told UPI that despite some concerns by healthcare providers, "the strong endorsement for electronic communication from this national sample of parents [means] significant efforts should be made to address these challenges."
