Jesse Yeh is a doctoral student in the joint Public Policy and Sociology program. He received his BA in both Media Studies and Political Economy from UC Berkeley. His research interest lies in the ways in which social and economic justice intersects with space; in particular, he is interested in the suburbanization of low income communities of color and immigrant communities in the aftermath of the 2008 housing crisis. Jesse was previously a student- and an union-organizer and is looking forward to build community with progressive queer and trans students of color at Rackham. In his spare time, Jesse enjoys binge-watching Shonda Rhimes shows, trying out new recipes, and drinking craft beer.
