Pete studied criminal justice at Mott Community College and political science at UM-Flint. He earned his law degree at Wayne State University Law School. He has worked as a prisoner advocate at the American Friends Service Committee’s Michigan Criminal Justice Program and as a mitigation specialist at the State Appellate Defender Office. He previously worked at Flood Law, PLLC, where he focuses on trial prep and legal research for individuals accused of serious felonies. His research interests include law and society, mass incarceration, and constitutional criminal procedure.
