Apply Online
Applications are available for current UM Ann Arbor students. Students should apply during their sophomore year and are admitted for their last two years of undergraduate study.
Students can apply online using a Cross Campus Transfer Application. This application is maintained by Undergraduate Admissions and will look similar to the application you filled out when you initially applied to UM.
When completing the application, please keep these details in mind:
- On the initial log-in page, several items are listed that are not required for the Ford School Cross Campus Transfer application (including: high school transcript, SAT or other test scores, recommendation letters, and application fee).
- After you log-in to the application, choose “Cross Campus Transfer Applicant” for the “Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.”
- Transcripts for your UM coursework will be printed by the Ford School after you submit your application, so you do not need to submit them separately.
- Although not required, if you have taken college-level coursework outside of UM and would like the admissions committee to see your grades in those courses, you may send those transcripts to the Ford School BA Admissions, 735 South State St., 2245 Weill Hall, Ann Arbor, MI 48109.
- You are required to submit two short essays and a resume as part of your application. The resume should include extracurricular activities, past work, internships, student leadership positions, volunteer work, etc.
