Dual Degree Applicants

Dual degree applicants must be sure to apply and meet the requirements for both departments. The process differs depending on whether you are an outside applicant or if you are currently enrolled at the University of Michigan.

Outside Applicants

All applicants who are not currently enrolled at the University of Michigan must complete the full application process for each department. Please review the requirements on our Checklist for All Applicants as well as the requirements on the other department's websites.

Also, please indicate on your Ford School application the other departments to which you are applying.

Current University of Michigan Students

Currently enrolled students at the University of Michigan are eligible to apply for dual degrees at the Ford School. Our 14 dual degree programs are listed here: http://fordschool.umich.edu/curriculum/dual.php

The application process differs, however, depending on whether the student is enrolled in a Rackham administered program. Please review the list below to determine whether the program you are currently enrolled is a program administered by Rackham: http://www.rackham.umich.edu/Programs/dual.html

Rackham Students

Students who are enrolled in a Rackham administered program (ie. Natural Resources, Information, Urban Planning, etc.) must complete the following Application for Dual Degree Form in place of the full Rackham application:

http://www.rackham.umich.edu/Admis/pdfforms/DualDegreeProgram.pdf

That completed form must be sent to both Rackham and the Ford School of Public Policy. International students must also submit a new Affidavit of Financial Support to Rackham.

Applicants must also submit the Five Supporting Documents (please see our Checklist for All Applicants for details) by hard copy to the Ford School of Public Policy. Photocopies of test scores and transcripts are acceptable. Please address the materials to:
