Bio:
As Director of Development at the Ford School, Dan is charged with creating and implementing a strategic framework for building a diverse and generous donor base to help the school fulfill its mission.
Dan joined U-M’s Office of University Development in 2010, providing leadership as the Senior Director of Development for the Greater Detroit Region.
His career includes experience in three distinct regions of the country and three diverse segments of the non-profit sector. Prior to joining the University of Michigan, Dan served for five years as the Major Gifts Director for the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit. From 2003-2005, Dan was Vice President for Development and Major Gifts for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. He held a number of increasingly responsible positions with the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta from 1993 to 2003.
Dan earned a Master of Social Work in Community Organization from the University of Southern California, a Master of Arts in Jewish Nonprofit Management from Hebrew Union College in Los Angeles, and a BA in History from the University of Michigan.
