This section explores the politics of policymaking processes in a comparative perspective. Students will learn how these processes are shaped by economic, social, cultural, and institutional factors. Course objectives include: the ability to understand the perspectives that key stakeholders bring to the policymaking process, to understand how processes of negotiation and collective decision-making produce policy outcomes, to understand how institutions structure policymaking processes in different contexts, to develop strategies for navigating the political environment, and to improve written and oral communication skills.
