This section will examine the policymaking process from a comparative and international perspective, with a specific focus on international economic politics. The process behind which international trade and investment treaties are formed (or fail to form) will be a particular concentration. Students will learn about how different sorts of governments incorporate the interests of firms, labor organizations and NGOs, and the political and practical consequences of setting economic rules in domestic or international law.
