The good, the bad, and the diplomacy: International election edition

Hosted by the International Policy Student Association

Date & time

Nov 8, 2022, 4:00-5:00 pm EST

Location

The International Policy Student Association (IPSA)—a student organization at the Ford School—invites you to join our first event of the year, "The Good, the Bad, and the Diplomacy: International Election Edition." This will be a student-centered, discussion-based event.

Following the Food for Thought Midterms discussion (since we know y'all can't get enough of elections), we will talk about international elections across the globe and their foreign policy ramifications. From Brazil, with Lula beating out populist candidate Bolsonaro to the Politburo Standing Committee in China, where Xi clinched his third term, we will cover all the tea and global trends.

We encourage you to join us regardless of your foreign policy expertise or knowledge. The IPSA board would love to see your beautiful faces and share some delicious snacks amongst good company. This will be a students-only event, and we will have a handful of discussion questions to kick off broader open dialogue, questions, reflections, and hot takes. Full details are available below.

Snacks will be available!
