This event takes place as a product of PUBPOL 456/756. It originated and is planned, organized, and moderated by the students of the Ford School’s Public Policy Course 456/756 under the supervision of their instructor, former Mayor of Ann Arbor John Hieftje. Students invited all candidates who pulled petitions for the August state primary and whose contact information was on file with the City Clerk or was otherwise publicly available. Candidates not in attendance will be those who declined invitations, who could not be reached, who run as Independents and don't appear on primary ballots, or who have not publicly indicated they are running but intend to file prior to the April 19 deadline.
