Yousuf Al-Busaidi, IPC Visiting Scholar and Visiting Carnegie Scholar at the University of Michigan

Dr. Yousuf Al Busaidi is a Visiting Scholar at the Ford School’s International Policy Center (IPC) and a Visiting Carnegie Scholar at the University of Michigan. He is Research Director for Culture, Basic, and Social Science at The Research Council of the Sultanate of Oman and a visiting assistant professor of management at Sultan Qaboos University. His duties include planning and running various research funding programs, working with public and private organizations inside Oman and abroad in the areas of research and building collaborative relationships. He was previously head of the management department at College of Economic and Political Science and an assistant professor of management at Sultan Qaboos University. 

He has more than 15 years’ experience in crafting and implementing strategic plans at the organizational and national levels. He has also been involved in assessment and evaluation of several academic programs for Oman’s Ministry of Higher Education. He has a number of publications in international refereed journals and has presented academic papers in conferences around the world. He received his Ph.D in Strategic Management and International Business from the University of Texas at Arlington and his Master of Business Administration from Kansas State University.
