Has science and technology policymaking changed during the Trump Administration? How? What do the US politics of science and technology look like in 2018?

Join us for a lively panel discussion featuring University of Michigan graduates working in science and technology policy in Washington, D.C.

Panel speakers include:

  • Chris Avery (PhD '10, Chemistry; STPP Certificate), Deputy Director of the National Climate Assessment at the U.S. Global Change Research Program;
  • Michelle Hindman (MPP '16; STPP Certificate), researcher at the Science and Technology Policy Institute; and
  • Esha Mathew (PhD '15, Cell and Molecular Biology; STPP Certificate), American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science and Technology Policy Fellow in the Department of Defense.

The panel will be moderated by Shobita Parthasarathy, associate professor of public policy and women’s studies, and director of the Science, Technology, and Public Policy Program.

This event is hosted by the Science, Technology, and Public Policy program, and is co-sponsored by Rackham Graduate School and the University of Michigan Office of Research.
