Staying Healthy in a Stressful World

Speaker

A Ford School community conversation with Demond Johnson, Vincent Smith, and Grant Newsome

Date & time

Oct 23, 2018, 4:00-5:30 pm EDT

Being a Ford School student is stressful, even more so in a time of political and social tension that many are finding emotionally and physically threatening.

Please join us for a conversation with two local experts who will share some of their own personal experiences and how you can use physical activity and wellness strategies to reduce psycho-social stress and improve your well-being. The event will be followed by a reception in the Great Hall.

Speakers:
Demond Johnson, CEO of A2 Fitness Professionals and Retired-US Army (Master fitness trainer)

Vincent Smith, U-M Wolverine -- Running back and return specialist (2009-2012), Founder/Community Outreach Director of Team Gardens, a non-profit organization that uses athletes to teach health education through gardening.

Moderated by:
Grant Newsome, MPP student and U-M Wolverine offensive tackle and student coach.
