Recent research by Barry Rabe explores American public opinion on climate change, policy responses

January 7, 2010

New research by Barry Rabe on American public opinion of climate change was published in a Brookings Institution report, "The Climate of Belief: American Public Opinion on Climate Change." In this report, Rabe and co-author Christopher P. Borick present key findings from a 2009 survey of American adults exploring whether Americans believe global temperatures are rising and views on possible policy interventions and engagement by various levels of American government. A full description and analysis of these findings will appear in a forthcoming Brookings Institution Press book, edited by Rabe, called "Greenhouse Governance: Addressing Climate Change in America."
