Center for Public Policy in Diverse Societies announces call for funding proposals

December 9, 2011
The Center for Public Policy in Diverse Societies is hosting a call for proposals for collaborative projects that contribute to academic research on diversity or enrich the broader community's engagement with issues of diversity. Two types of proposals will be funded:

Research Seed Grants

The center will provide funding from $500 to $10,000 to support research projects that promote innovative, collaborative, and high-quality research in the field of public policy. Most awards will be at the lower end of the range.

Eligibility: University of Michigan faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and doctoral students are eligible to apply.

Program Grants

The center will provide funding from $500 to $2,000 to support programs that promote understanding within the University community, and beyond, of the implications of diversity for public policy. Eligible activities include events, seminars, projects, and course and curriculum development. We strongly encourage proposals that are interdisciplinary and collaborative.

Eligibility: Proposals will be accepted from members of the U-M community including: students and registered student groups, staff, and faculty. Collaborations with individuals, groups, or agencies outside the U-M will be considered, provided a University affiliate is a co-sponsor and submits the application.

Proposal Deadline: February 3, 2012
