Elisabeth R. Gerber pens Detroit Free Press op-ed about Michigan's brownfield, historic tax credits

May 4, 2011

Elisabeth R. Gerber, Chris Miller (DDA director and economic development coordinator for the city of Adrian), and Daniel P. Gilmartin (CEO and executive director of the Michigan Municipal League) penned an op-ed for the Detroit Free Press called, "Michigan's brownfield, historic tax credits offer strong return on investment."

Gerber et al. wrote this piece in response to Governor Snyder's proposal to eliminate tax incentives for brownfield and historic redevelopment projects. Gerber believes that these tax credits "work" and that eliminating or reforming them will take away a vital element in the revitalization of our cities and the creation of new jobs and income.
