Marina Whitman was quoted by the Yahoo! Finance blog The Daily Ticker about the nomination of Janet Yellen as the next head of the federal reserve bank.
"Janet is the most experienced in the way the Fed system works, having had positions at all levels and at different parts of the system," Whitman explained. "She has proved herself as a brilliant macro-economist. She is better than almost anyone I know in explaining complex issues clearly and comprehensibly. Bernanke established the goal of increased Fed transparency, and Janet is well-suited to implement it."
