John Dingell to facilitate leadership conversations for aspiring public servants fall 2015

May 7, 2015

The longest-serving U.S. Congressman in history—John D. Dingell Jr.  (HLLD ’15) has donated collected materials from his 59 years in office to the Bentley Historical Library at the University of Michigan.

To enhance their readings of this extraordinary archive, Ford School students will have the chance to hear directly from the former Dean of Congress himself.

Mr. Dingell will visit Ford School classes, one or several times throughout the fall 2015 semester, for undergraduate and graduate courses. He will also facilitate leadership conversations—focusing on careers, navigating challenges, and other subjects relevant for aspiring young public policy leaders.

The Ford School congratulates Mr. Dingell on being awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws at the 2015 University Commencement, and we look forward to welcoming him to Weill Hall in the fall.
