Following national search, Sue Johnson to join the Ford School as director of development

January 15, 2016

Following a national search, the Ford School is delighted to announce the appointment of Sue Johnson as director of development.

“Sue is a mission-driven, strategic fundraiser with a passion for building philanthropic relationships,” says Susan M. Collins, Joan and Sanford Weill Dean of Public Policy. “She topped a very strong pool of candidates generated by our national search”

Johnson spent 16 years in development leadership positions at the University of Michigan’s Law School, Rackham Graduate School, and Museum of Art (UMMA). For the last ten years, she has led fundraising efforts for the Emerson School, a private school in Ann Arbor.

Johnson will join the Ford School’s development staff on February 9, and will lead the School’s Next Century campaign fundraising efforts for student support, game-changing faculty research, and policy engagement.
