Welcome to the new academic year. I am Celeste Watkins-Hayes, the Joan and Sanford Weill Dean of the Ford School of Public Policy. And this year, I invite you to write your story, to use the resources and opportunities that the Ford School has to offer to pursue your passions, to learn new things, to start new conversations, and to think about how you can contribute to the public good. Hi, everybody. Welcome back to the Ford School. I'm Jeff Morenoff, Associate Dean for Research and Policy Engagement. I'm really looking forward to seeing everybody this year for community days where we encourage as many people as possible to come together, see each other in the hallways, grab coffee, and attend interesting events like Food for Thought, where faculty, staff, and students come together to talk about pressing issues of the day. Hope to see you all there. Hi, I'm Jenna Bednar. I'm the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs here at the Ford School. This fall at the Ford School we have people coming in from all over the world. I can't wait for the energy that everybody brings to the classroom, the seminar rooms, to our hallways, to our lounges. Great things happen when people collaborate across difference, and I can't wait to see what you all build. We're so excited to have you here. Let's get to work. Welcome new students, go blue. Go blue. Welcome back, students go blue.
