About our speaker

José Lemus is a senior advisor for the jobs and economy team within the City of Detroit’s Mayor’s Office. In his role, José facilitates public-private partnerships to support the City of Detroit’s infrastructure and workforce development objectives. José is an alumnus of the Ford School (MPP 22) with a focus on real estate and land-use planning. While at the Ford School, José participated in a PCLP project with the National Coalition for Community Capital and a Program for Practical Policy Engagement research project with the City of Lincoln Park, Michigan.
