Four University of Michigan scholars, including three Ford School faculty members, made Rick Hess’s Education Week ranking of the most influential U.S. scholars in education policy--those who contribute most substantially to public debates about education.
- Deborah Ball, the William H. Payne Collegiate Professor of Education and dean of the School of Education;
- David Cohen, the John Dewey Professor of Education and professor of public policy;
- Susan Dynarski, professor of public policy and education; and
- Brian Jacob, the Walter H. Annenberg Professor of Education Policy.
According to Hess, the annual ranking rubric "reflects both a scholar's body of academic work--encompassing the breadth and influence of their scholarship--and their footprint on the public discourse last year.”
