District 4 Small Business Resource Fair

Date & time

Mar 20, 2023, 12:00-4:00 pm EDT

Attendees will be able to participate in four interactive workshops led by Michigan Law student-attorneys from the Community Enterprise Clinic on the most popular questions we get: choosing an LLC, corporation or other entity, protecting trademarks and other intellectual property, managing licensing and permitting issues, and classifying workers correctly. Business owners will also be able to sign up for free one-on-one educational consults by booking an appointment in advance (separate link to be provided to those who register).

The Jefferson East, Inc. & University of Michigan Community Tech Workers will teach attendees about Search Engine Optimization to improve a business' brand and drive sales, and will offer walk-up intake appointments for free 1:1 technology training after the event.

Accounting Aid Society will have a small business accountant on-site to answer business owners' financial and accounting questions.

And finally, DEGC's Kenzie Current, the District 4 business liaison, will offer office hours on a walk-up basis, for those need help navigating city processes or are looking to find a resource.

Snacks to be provided by Detroit Soul. This event is FREE, but registration is required.
