Weill Hall with the text "Look to the Ford School at Michigan"

Fifty years ago, at a fraught and fractious moment in American history, Gerald Ford was called upon to serve. He brought to that moment lessons learned from a career of serving his neighbors in his West Michigan congressional district. And he brought his core values: service to others, humility, an ability to work across the aisle, respect, and honesty.

Today, at this fraught, urgent moment, we need more Gerald Fords. We need more leaders and citizens who can listen, work, and lead across differences. We need creative, evidence-based policy solutions to strengthen our democratic institutions and to address challenges in education, health, climate, energy, technological change, and so much more. We need a more just and peaceful world.
