Michigan Education Data Center

Responsible for managing the Michigan Education Data Center, the Education Policy Initiative uses the longitudinal data system to investigate issues like educational implications of homelessness, the effects of COVID-19 on school enrollment, and more.

Through a multi-year partnership with the Port of Monroe, student research revealed insights about the economic impact of Michigan’s maritime industry, which led to new state investment and the port’s rebirth as a hub of economic activity.
