Two highly skilled professionals join the Ford School staff as we establish an innovative model for alumni engagement. The school's alumni relations function has been revamped and expanded to reflect our commitment to engaging Ford School alums across a number of dimensions, including student jobs and internships, recruitment, fundraising, and public relations.
Elisabeth Johnston will serve as the school's full-time Alumni Relations Manager. Johnston is a graduate of the University of Michigan (BA '03) and earned an MA in Education from Wayne State University. She rejoins her alma mater after an impactful stint at Wayne State's Office of Alumni Relations, where she served since 2006 as staff liaison to the alumni associations and boards of several schools and colleges. Prior to her work in alumni relations, she was the Assistant Compliance Coordinator in the WSU Department of Athletics.
Johnston will join the Graduate Career Services Department and will work closely with the Ford School's alumni board. In addition, she will lead a cross-functional alumni relations team to develop, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive alumni relations strategy for the school.
Alicia Boltach will join the Development Office as a half-time Annual Giving Coordinator, focused on the school's Annual Fund and on class gift campaigns. Prior to joining the Ford School, Alicia worked in the U-M's Government Relations office, where she was responsible for coordinating the University's United Way campaign and serving as a liaison on joint projects with the City of Ann Arbor. She has a strong interest in public policy, having served in Lansing as the assistant finance director for Michigan's State House Republican Campaign Committee from 2006-08. She has a degree in journalism from Central Michigan University.
