Rachel Potter wins APSA Founders Award for best graduate student paper

Rachel Potter has won the 2013 Founders Award from the American Political Science Association (APSA) for her paper, "Strategic Transparency in Agency Rulemaking." The award is given for the best graduate student paper presented at APSA's annual meeting or at any of the regional meetings in the preceding two years.

Potter, a PhD candidate in public policy and political science, researches bureaucracy and American institutions. She received her bachelor's degree from Boston College (magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa) and her master's in public policy from the University of Southern California, where she was a Dean's Merit Scholar.
