Combating Invasive Mussels in the North American Great Lakes

Victoria Pebbles, Program Director at Great Lakes Commission, will host this environmental policy simulation focused on the challenges and potential solutions to managing invasive mussels that have blanketed large portions of the North American Great Lakes causing extensive environmental and economic damage. Students will learn about U.S. - Canadian policies and institutions for managing the Great Lakes and be tasked to develop bilateral solutions for managing invasive mussels that can be implemented within that policy framework.
