International students thrive at the University of Michigan

Ford School master's students come from about a dozen countries and make up nearly twenty percent of the cohort. Campus-wide, the broader university attracts students from 130+ countries, representing a highly diverse global community, where 14 percent of all U-M students come from abroad. We're excited to welcome you to the Ford School, and we are prepared to help you get here, and to thrive while you're here.

Attend Spring Preview Day from abroad

Spring Preview Day will be held in-person in Ann Arbor, but we know traveling from abroad may not be possible for everyone. We will soon be sharing additional information on how to access panels remotely and more.

We know you'll have more questions about relocating, life in Ann Arbor and metro Detroit, and joining our community.

We hope you are able to join us on some of our webinars where we’ll go over these topics in more detail. We have also curated some key links from the U-M International Center to get you started. The International Center provides a variety of services to assist international students, scholars, faculty and staff at the University of Michigan. In the fall, they will lead a campus-wide International Student Orientation, with a combination of required and recommended sessions.

In addition, we'll host our own welcome event for Ford School international students during Welcome Week. Details will be sent directly to students by the Office of Student & Academic Services later this summer.
