The Applied Policy Seminar (APS) (now called Strategic Public Policy Consulting or SPPC) is an opportunity for students to conduct a semester-long faculty-supervised group consulting project for a real-world policy organization. Projects and clients vary each semester and reflect a wide range of policy area, methodologies, size, and complexity. Gerber’s research focuses on regionalism and intergovernmental cooperation, sustainable development, urban climate adaptation, transportation policy, community and economic development, local fiscal capacity, and local political accountability.
