This course provides a five-week deep dive into strategies to maximize the persuasiveness of your writing for various policy-relevant audiences: from decision-makers in professional policy spaces to the readerships of national and local news-and-opinion outlets. Structured as a seminar and writing workshop, it will also increase your versatility and confidence in moving between the most prevalent policy-writing genres and conventions. The goal is for you to hone necessary skills that will allow you to excel in the writing expected of you at the Ford School and in your future careers.
