This course examines the Federal, State, and Local policies that govern employment in the United States. We will examine government agencies at different levels work together to set and enforce the rules governing employer-employee relations and to provide workers with insurance and protection. We will discuss policy issues from theoretical, empirical, and practical perspectives. What kind of impact do we expect particular policies to have?
