This section explores the politics of policymaking processes in a comparative perspective. Students will learn how these processes are shaped by economic, social, cultural, and institutional factors. Course objectives include: the ability to understand the perspectives that key stakeholders bring to the policymaking process, to understand how processes of negotiation and collective decisionmaking produce policy outcomes, to understand how institutions structure policymaking processes in different contexts, to develop strategies for navigating the political environment, and to improve written and oral communication skills.
