This course is designed to equip future public policy leaders with advanced facilitation skills essential for leading diverse teams and influencing public policy. Over seven sessions, students will explore the dynamics of facilitation within various contexts, understanding both the theoretical underpinnings and practical applications of leading discussions and decision-making processes. Special emphasis will be placed on integrating facilitation skills with contemporary policy challenges at different governmental levels. Through a mix of lectures, case studies, and practical exercises, students will learn to design facilitative frameworks that foster inclusive participation and effective policy outcomes. Students will gain confidence in their ability to lead difficult conversations, help teams and groups come to consensus.
