In this course, we will explore the process of extracting insights from real-world data. The course will focus on three separate skills. The first is how to understand relationships in data, which are uncovered using statistical techniques learned in previous courses. The second is how to manage and manipulate data using software. Finally, the course will teach students how to interpret evidence from statistical analysis, how to increase your degree of confidence that the inferences you are drawing are correct, and how to communicate your findings. Unlike a typical econometrics course, this class emphasizes hands-on work with actual data sets.
