Join the Program in Practical Policy Engagement for a discussion with Eugene Kang, managing director at Teneo and former Obama White House staff, and candidate for Ann Arbor City Council when he was an undergraduate student at U-M.

From the speaker's bio

Eugene Kang is currently a managing director at Teneo, a global CEO advisory firm. In his current role, he advises CEOs and their executive teams on corporate and executive positioning, brand and marketing strategy, crisis communications and complex litigation and regulatory matters.

Before joining Teneo, Eugene was a special assistant to the President and served in the White House Office of Political Affairs. Eugene advised President Obama and senior administration officials on national political engagement and helped manage special situations. Previously, Eugene served as the president’s traveling political aide during his 2008 campaign and during the Obama-Biden transition project. Eugene also worked on local and federal campaigns in previous campaign cycles. 

Eugene is an Ann Arbor native and holds a BA from the University of Michigan. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife and two kids.
