The novel offers a powerful and deeply human story of growing up in Appalachia while raising important questions about poverty, opportunity, resilience, addiction, education, and the systems that shape people's lives and futures. We hope the book gives us a shared opportunity to think, talk, and learn together across the Ford School community.

Whether you already read the book, just started, or have it on your growing list of books to read, join in the conversatin. It will be facilitated by the Ford School Bridge Builders and will include discussions in small group breakout rooms and a larger group reflection.

Please register by Wednesday, November 11 at 5:00 pm ET to receive the Zoom link.
