How can students build careers that make a social and environmental impact? The inaugural Net Impact at Ross Summit will connect U-M students with practitioners working across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.
The summit brings together students from across the University of Michigan and leaders working in impact investing, philanthropy, sustainability, corporate social impact, and nonprofit and impact consulting. Many of these practitioners are University of Michigan alumni, including Ford School alum Ian Swedish (MPP ‘09). Through a keynote address, practitioner panels, and networking coffee chats, attendees will hear how these leaders have built careers that move across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.
The summit welcomes students who are pursuing careers in social impact, as well as those who are curious about creating positive change through their future work. Attendees can learn from practitioners and connect with a community of students and professionals committed to social impact.
Net Impact and the Energy Club at the Ross School of Business host the event. The Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, Rackham Graduate School, CCS Fundraising, Business+Impact at Ross, the Erb Institute, the School for Environment and Sustainability, the Ross School of Business Program Office, the Zell Lurie Institute, and Zingerman's Deli co-sponsor it.
