Ford School Brown Bag – Second Life Edition: Technology and the 2008 Election

Join Shobita Parthasarathy and other community members to talk about technology and the election in 2008. This will be an informal conversation to discuss how technology shaped the 2008 presidential election process as well as how the election influenced technology; come and share your thoughts. The event will be hosted by Ford School Webmaster Chris Myers.

Not already 'In world'? Second Life, a virtual world, has almost 15 million users and it is free to join and explore. Many large companies have a presence and even the University of Michigan has an island in the virtual world.

Note: It is recommended that you create your account, install the software and familiarize yourself with the world before the event. You will need to be able to teleport, text chat and do basic movements in Second Life to successfully attend this event.
