Organized by OUTbreak and Out in Public, the Trans Health Access panel brings together a diverse group of transgender advocates and community members to discuss barriers faced by the trans community when trying to access healthcare. The discussion will unpack many of these obstacles, including socio-structural/policy barriers, finding culturally sensitive providers, and navigating insurance coverage. Panelists will also discuss best practices and share potential remedies to improve transgender people's access to healthcare services. Panel topics were chosen and prioritized in collaboration with local trans identified activists.
