February 16, 2010

Four Ford School students won the first NPM-CCC Mini Case Competition sponsored by the Nonprofit and Public Management Center (NPM) and the Ross School of Business Community Consulting Club at the University of Michigan.

As outlined by competition rules, MPP students Stephanie Procyk, Aschley Schiller, Jessica Simoncelli, and Skye Stewart had seven days to create a solution to help the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History achieve long-term sustainability through increased revenue. The team was named the winner after presenting their plan, "And Still We Rise: A Fresh Look at Opportunities for Earned Revenue Growth," to the NPM and members of the Detroit-based museum’s board.

The NPM is a collaboration among the Ford School, the Ross School of Business, and the School of Social Work. The center's mission is to equip future leaders in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors with interdisciplinary insight that can help them operate more effectively when working for or collaborating with nonprofit and public institutions.
