U-M, Ford School commencement time to change

The University has changed the start time for its May 1 commencement to 11 a.m. – this is an hour later than previously planned. The move was made to accommodate the extra security requirements necessitated by President Obama's visit.

As a result, the start time for the Ford School’s commencement in Rackham Auditorium has changed as well: the ceremony will run from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 1.

Auditorium doors will open for families and guests at 5:30 p.m. - please note that there are plenty of seats in the auditorium for this event.
