Updates on National Poverty Center Michigan Recession and Recovery Study

November 28, 2011
The Ford School's National Poverty Center's Michigan Recession and Recovery Study (MRRS) is analyzing data from its second collection wave, which was completed in August 2011, and planning for its third wave of collection scheduled for spring 2013.

The MRRS is a panel study designed to better understand how the Great Recession (officially from December 2007 through January 2009), and the collapse of stock and housing prices during this period have affected the well being of workers and families in Michigan. Additionally, the panel hopes to understand how increased federal spending through the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) may have helped cushion the negative effects of these economic shocks.
