2014 Ford School MPA/MPP resume books now available electronically

October 30, 2013

Employers can now request the resumes of Master of Public Policy and Master of Public Administration students to find candidates for 2014 summer internships and full-time job openings. The books include updated resumes from all current Ford School master's students and are indexed by career interest, policy area, and language skills. The books are a valuable resource for identifying candidates who best fit the needs of an organization.

The resume book is an easy way for employers to sort by the skills and background they desire in an internship or job candidate. Barbara Kass, Manager of Vehicle Efficiency and Energy Policy at General Motors, attests:

"General Motors recruits Ford School master's students every year for summer internships. The resume book – broken down by student career interest, policy area, and more – is an invaluable tool that has allowed us to find the right fit time and again."

Why hire? Students at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy develop a toolkit of skills relevant to the needs of organizations in the public, nonprofit, and private sectors. Students are taught theories and problem-solving techniques for a global marketplace, developing expertise in a number of areas, including: economic and policy analysis, international affairs and diplomacy, program evaluation, and policy advocacy.

Who's hiring? Each year, Ford School students secure jobs and internships in federal, state, and local governments, international organizations, nonprofits organizations, and in the private sector. Students have worked for the U.S. State Department, The World Bank, The Asia Foundation, Accenture, and Mathematica Policy Research, Inc., among others.

Employers can request the resume book online or contact Graduate Career Services for more information or to post a job opening.
