Ben Curtiss Lusher, a dual-master's candidate in business administration and public policy, has been recognized by the Rackham Graduate School with the Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor (GSI) Award.
Established in 1972, the Rackham award honors the efforts and accomplishments of GSIs who demonstrate exceptional ability and creativity as teachers, maintain rigorous intellectual standards, and model professional integrity.
"Ben was an outstanding GSI well before he was hired as one," writes Assistant Professor Kevin Stange, who joined students and other faculty members in nominating Curtiss Lusher for the award. "As a first year MPP student in Micro A, Ben quickly earned a reputation as a patient and thoughtful teacher, generously providing his time and energy to help his classmates through the course."
Other Ford School alumni who have received the award include Cree Jones (MPP/JD '13) and Lloyd Grieger (MPP '04).
