On March 19, 2014 the second annual Student Day of Thanks was held in the Great Hall of the Ford School. Students wrote personalized messages of thanks onto postcards that were mailed to many of the Ford School alumni who made gifts to the school in the past year.
Alumni giving plays a crucial role at the Ford School, and with a modest-sized alumni base, every gift really does make a difference—often in the lives of students through fellowship and internship support.
This initiative not only reminds Ford School alums how much their gifts are appreciated, but also educates students through posters and information sheets how philanthropy plays a role in the everyday lives of Ford School students, staff, and faculty.
Participation was especially high this year, and students who wrote postcards received a Hail Yeah! t-shirt and could enter to win several raffles. Congratulations to this year's Spirit Store raffle winner Lauren Burdette, MPP '15.
Does every gift matter? Hail Yeah!
