  1. Clearing the way for the city to demolish thousands of abandoned homes, reducing Motor City blight.
  2. Helping to create Detroit's White Picket Fence Program, which lets homeowners buy vacant lots next to their properties for just $200.
  3. And helping John Hantz launch the nation's largest urban tree farm—in Detroit.
