Davenport told MLive that school boards are ideal locations for activists to promote their message. Generally, he said, board meetings are easy to disrupt and tactics in one area can be replicated by others across the state.
“School boards are as ubiquitous as you get; they’re everywhere,” he said. “Once you’ve worked out a particular strategy you can just export it ... Strategically, it’s just a good spot. Something that’s everywhere, everybody can be associated with it, and it’s hard to stop.”
