Wolfers comments on work-from-home productivity

As the world adjusts to what life will look like as the pandemic ebbs, one key question is whether the work-from-home trend will continue. Justin Wolfers, professor of public policy and economics, said that workers are more productive at home, meaning the trend could continue.

“Everyone is better off – no question. Total output has gone up,” he said. “It turns out people are very productive working from home. Everyone has 16 hours to achieve a set of task, and working from home gives greater ability to allocate your tasks throughout the day in ways that enhance your productivity.”
